Senior Account Executive & Go-to-Market Lead for Public Sector - Germany (m/f/x)

Key Responsibilities
☁️ Develop and execute a Go-to-Market Strategy for Germany’s Public Sector: Design and implement a strategic sales plan to effectively offer our entire portfolio to the German public sector market
☁️ Hands-on Sales Leadership to generate New Business: From identifying and qualifying opportunities to closing deals, personally engage with public sector prospects and clients, leading by example with direct sales calls, meetings, and negotiations, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
☁️ Conduct public sector-specific research: Based on Cloudflight’s ideal customer profile, identify digital business models and contacts within the public sector, and conduct targeted outreach. Identify new business opportunities and trends in the areas of GovTech, digitalization and cloud solutions
☁️ Manage and expand existing public sector client accounts: Develop and implement strategies to nurture current public sector client relationships, identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and ensure ongoing client satisfaction to drive repeat business
☁️ Build and nurture relationships: Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the German public sector, leveraging your network or your ability to build one
☁️ Development of strategic partnerships: Create customised offers for the public sector with relevant players to enable better positioning and market presence in tenders
☁️ Report and analyse performance: Regularly report on sales metrics, market feedback, and performance, ensuring ongoing optimisation of sales processes
☁️ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: Work closely with our marketing, product, legal and finance teams, to align strategies, gather insights and information needed to create a compelling bid and ensure market fit
☁️ Bid & tender management: Manage and coordinate complex public procurement tenders
☁️ Inspire and work alongside a team of passionate Account Executives: Guide team members with their own customer and industry targets, providing direction for an aligned Go-to-Market approach
Qualifications
⭐️ Experience in the public sector: At least 5 years of experience managing complex sales processes within political and public decision-making structures and understanding of legal framework conditions in the public sector, ideally with an existing network within Germany’s public sector
⭐️ Motivation & drive: A passion for growth and achieving ambitious targets, you are enthusiastic, highly motivated, and committed to success
⭐️ Strategic implementation: Ability to implement a Go-to-Market Strategy and manage complex sales cycles from start to finish, with a track record of successful revenue management
⭐️ Client-centric approach & market knowledge: Understand the challenges and problems faced by public sector clients in emerging technologies. You offer solutions in your sales story and create value for our clients
⭐️ Public Sector Network: Existing contacts with ministries or government agencies are an advantage
⭐️ Stakeholder management: Experience in managing simultaneous engagements with various stakeholders, both internal and external, across long and short sales cycle deals
⭐️ Data management: Ability to maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data (e.g., HubSpot) and experience with complex pursuit processes, proposal development, and presentations that win new business
⭐️ Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, with the ability to work with people from different national and international locations
